On 13 November, the 6G‑Cloud project participated in DefCamp 2025 contibuting to the workshop titled “Securing the 6G Frontier: Trust, Privacy, and Resilience in the Computing Continuum.” The event, held at the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest, brought together leading researchers, industry representatives, and cybersecurity specialists to tackle one of the most pressing challenges of next‑generation connectivity.

During the session, Antonio Skarmeta (Universidad de Murcia) presented 6G‑Cloud and explored how the emerging 6G infrastructure introduces novel security and trust challenges. The workshop focused on several critical themes: zero-trust security models, AI-powered threat detection, trusted routing for secure data transmission, and blockchain-based attestation to validate the integrity of distributed systems.

By bringing together voices from both research and industry, the session underscored the role of projects like 6G‑Cloud, RIGOUROUS, CASTOR, and AMAZING-6G in shaping a secure, trustworthy future for 6G networks.

The discussion reinforced that the 6G‑Cloud project is not only building cloud-native network components but also contributing to the foundational trust and security mechanisms that will be essential as 6G becomes a reality.
