The European project 6G-CLOUD took part in the 2026 Science and Technology Week of the Region of Murcia (SECYT 2026), held from 23 to 25 October at the Jardín Botánico del Malecón in Murcia, Spain. Organised by the Fundación Séneca, the event brought together universities, research centres, companies and public institutions to promote scientific knowledge and bring research and innovation closer to society.

The University of Murcia (UMU), a partner in 6G-CLOUD, presented the project as part of its participation in the event, offering visitors an opportunity to learn more about the technologies shaping the future of mobile communications.

6G-CLOUD is developing a new architecture for future 6G networks based on cloud-native technologies and AI-native capabilities, enabling the intelligent management and orchestration of resources and network functions across the cloud continuum.

The project was showcased within a broader programme of activities organised by the University of Murcia’s Faculty of Computer Science, which included interactive demonstrations and hands-on experiences related to artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and next-generation communication networks.

Participation in SECYT 2026 provided an opportunity to raise awareness of 6G-CLOUD beyond the research community, bringing the project’s objectives closer to a wider audience and highlighting the role of European research in developing the communication technologies of tomorrow.
