The 6G-Cloud project participated in IPIN 2025 – 15th International Conference on Indoor Positioning and Indoor Navigation, held from 15 to 18 September 2025 in Tampere, Finland. The conference gathered global experts in indoor positioning, sensing, and wireless navigation to discuss innovations that will shape future localisation systems and integrated communication–sensing solutions.

Alejandro Rafael Gil Martínez (Universidad de Murcia) presented the paper “Ambiguity Resolution of Two Conformal Leaky-Wave Antennas via Deep Learning.” The work addressed a critical challenge in wireless localisation — signal direction-of-arrival (DoA) ambiguity, which can compromise positioning reliability, especially in scenarios involving IoT and body-centric networks.

The study explored ambiguity effects in a symmetric dual–conformal leaky-wave antenna (LWA) system and proposed an LSTM-based Deep Learning model for real-time ambiguity resolution. Simulation results showed 99.99% classification accuracy, demonstrating the ability of temporal learning models to significantly enhance the reliability of antenna-based sensing systems.

Presenting at IPIN 2025 reinforced 6G-Cloud’s contribution to AI-native network intelligence for the computing continuum, extending beyond orchestration into advanced localisation and wireless sensing capabilities. The event also enabled valuable knowledge exchange with the indoor positioning research community, supporting future exploration of integrated 6G positioning services.
