IEEE WCNC 2025
6G-Cloud will participate in IEEE WCNC 2025, which will take place in Milan. As one of the flagship IEEE conferences on wireless communications, WCNC brings together researchers, industry experts and practitioners to explore cutting-edge advances shaping next-generation wireless systems.
At the conference, Elham Hashemi Nezhad (University of Bern) will present the paper “DERRIC: Decentralized Reinforced RAN Intelligent Controller Orchestration for 6G Networks.” The work tackles the challenge of scalable and adaptive orchestration in O-RAN environments, where the deployment of RAN Intelligent Controllers (RICs) must respond to highly dynamic and large-scale network conditions.
This participation highlights 6G-Cloud’s ongoing contribution to cloud-native, AI-driven orchestration frameworks for future wireless systems, reinforcing the project’s mission to advance scalable, decentralised and intelligent 6G network architectures.
About IEEE WCNC
The IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC) is a premier annual event organised by the IEEE Communications Society. It serves as a global forum for innovations in wireless communications, covering topics such as 5G and 6G systems, radio access technologies, network intelligence, edge–cloud integration, spectrum management and beyond.
WCNC brings together academia, industry and standardisation bodies to exchange ideas that will define the future of wireless networks.
