IEEE NetSoft 2026
6G-Cloud announces that a paper from our consortium has been accepted for presentation at IEEE NetSoft 2026, a leading international conference on network softwarization. The event will take place in Berlin from 29 June to 3 July 2026, bringing together researchers and industry experts to explore the future of programmable, intelligent, and autonomous networks.
The accepted paper, “EnSplit: Dynamic DRL Energy-Aware Split Inference for AI-based UE Apps in 6G Networks,” was developed by consortium partners Lenovo and University of Bern. It addresses key challenges in optimizing energy efficiency and performance for AI-driven applications at the network edge, contributing to the advancement of distributed intelligence in 6G systems.
This achievement reinforces 6G-Cloud’s commitment to advancing next-generation network architectures, particularly in the context of AI-native, energy-efficient, and adaptive infrastructures. Participation in NetSoft 2026 also provides an excellent opportunity to engage with the global research community and foster collaboration around innovative approaches to softwarized and intelligent networks.
About IEEE NetSoft
IEEE NetSoft is a premier conference dedicated to the evolution of network infrastructures from hardware-based systems to flexible, software-driven architectures. It focuses on key enablers such as network function virtualization (NFV), software-defined networking (SDN), and service function chaining, which allow for more agile, programmable, and efficient network and cloud environments.
The 2026 edition, themed “Autonomous and Reliable Softwarized Networks in the Age of Distributed Intelligence,” highlights the growing importance of AI and distributed computing in shaping future network and service infrastructures, aligning closely with the core objectives of the 6G-Cloud project.
