IFIP Networking 2026
6G-Cloud is pleased to announce that a paper from the project has been accepted for presentation at IFIP Networking 2026, which will take place in Lugano. The conference is a leading international forum for researchers and industry experts to discuss the latest advances in communication networks and future Internet technologies.
The accepted paper, “Attention-Based Actor-Critic DRL for Online Service Function Chain Composition in 6G Networks,” was developed by consortium partners University of Bern and Thales. The work explores the use of deep reinforcement learning techniques to optimise service function chain composition in 6G environments, supporting more intelligent, adaptive, and autonomous network orchestration.
About IFIP Networking
IFIP Networking is an internationally recognised conference sponsored by the IFIP Technical Committee on Communication Systems (TC6) and the IEEE Communications Society. The event brings together academic and industrial experts to discuss key developments in networking research, including network architectures, applications and services, network security and privacy, and wireless networking.
The 2026 edition places particular emphasis on the theme “AI-Driven Autonomous Networking,” reflecting the growing importance of artificial intelligence in the design, deployment, and operation of future communication systems.
