SAC 2025
6G‑Cloud is excited to announce its participation in SAC 2025 (40th ACM/SIGAPP Symposium on Applied Computing), which will be held in Catania, Sicily, Italy from 31 March to 4 April 2025.
The University of Bern, partner in the 6G-Cloud project, will showcase the project through both a poster and a paper presentation. The poster, titled “Data-Driven Orchestration for Distributed RAN Intelligent Controller Placement in 6G Networks,” highlights advances in decentralised orchestration strategies for 6G Radio Access Networks.
Additionally, the paper “Deep Reinforcement Learning for Context-Aware Online Service Function Chain Deployment and Migration over 6G Networks” explores the optimisation of Virtual Network Function (VNF) deployment over the Cloud Continuum Framework (CCF). By leveraging Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL), the approach continuously adapts VNF placement in response to dynamic user traffic, improving network performance for delay-sensitive 6G applications.
About SAC
The ACM Symposium on Applied Computing (SAC) is an influential international forum that brings together computer scientists, engineers, and application developers to present and discuss interdisciplinary research in applied computing. SAC covers a wide range of topics, including distributed systems, networking, cloud computing, AI, and more.
